Section 2 – Value
FA 110 Spring 2003 – Medina
For the next 4 weeks, we will be working with the idea which adds depth and volume to the shapes and forms we draw. We will continue to work in class each day on the projects outlined for you sketchbook.
Week 5 –
In your sketchbook define the following:
Shape Form Space Repitition
In your sketchbook do 3 drawings of an object you see everyday on
the way to or from school everyday using line as value.
Week 6 –
In your sketchbook define the following:
Cross Hatching Shadow Highlight Stippling
In your sketchbook do a Cross Hatch and Stippled drawing based on
a black and white photo, Xerox of an image or a Newspaper
photo
Week 7 –
In your sketchbook define the following:
Blending Chiroscuro Light Reflected Light
In your sketchbook do 2 Chiroscuros drawing of a pile of clothes or
fabrics with different surface qualities.
Week 8 – Mid Term Week
Use all of the techniques worked on for the last 3 weeks to complete
a series of light related in-class still-life drawings on archival
papers
