Section 4 – Environment, Space, and Relationships of Objects

 

FA 110 Spring 2003 – Medina

 

For the next 4 weeks, we will be working with the idea which gives more information about the character of the objects we focus on. We will continue to work in class each day on the ideas outlined for you sketchbook.

 

Week 13 – April 7th, 9th, 11th

 

          In your sketchbook define the following:

                    Environment        Sfumato        Distance        Enclosed Space

 

In your sketchbook do drawings of an environment in witch you exist everyday; bedroom, kitchen, ... and the like, give the drawn environment a specific feel; emphasize it's being enclosed, open, empty, dark, lonely, cluttered, ...

 

Begin investigating assigned artist.

 

Week 14 – April 14th, 16th, 18th

 

          In your sketchbook define the following:

                    Subjective        Objective        Mass        Gravity

 

In your sketchbook draw a group of objects, 5 or more, that have some type of relationship.

 

Week 15 – April 21st, 23rd, 25th

 

          In your sketchbook define the following:

                    Non-objective        Abstract        Conceptual Drawing        Informational Drawing

 

In your sketchbook do 2 drawings of objects that are in environments contrary to their existence.

 

Week 16 – April 28th, 30th, May 2nd

 

          Dead Week - All final assignments are Due Wednesday April 30th, at the beginning of class, FINISHED and ready for critique. Critique will be on both Wednesday and Friday of this week.
