Section 3 – Texture

For the next 4 weeks, we will be working with the idea which gives more character to the surface of the objects we focus on. We will continue to work in class each day on the projects outlined for you sketchbook.
Week 9 –
In your sketchbook define the following:
Rubbing Invented Natural Camouflage
In your sketchbook do 2 drawings of 3 or more different textured materials, focus on what materials
and techniques work best for which textures; i.e. line, value, stippling, cross-hatch, chiaroscuro ...
Week 10 –
SPRING BREAK
Week 11 –
In your sketchbook define the following:
Visual Texture Pattern Regularity Irregularity
In your sketchbook do 2 drawings, of groups of objects, 5 or more, with opposite textures, i.e. one of smooth objects and one of ???
Week 12 –
Use all of the techniques worked on for the last 3 weeks to complete
a series of light related in-class still-life drawings on archival
papers
